Wyoming Plaza Condominium Roof Replacement
Washington, DC
The Wyoming Plaza Condominium is approximately 31 years old and consists of three structures connected together; a five-story white brick masonry building, a four-story red brick masonry building, both of which reportedly constructed around the turn of the 19th century, and a seven-story masonry mid-rise building which was constructed around 1980.
SRG was originally retained to perform a visual examination of the roof structures on all three buildings. SRG coordinated and worked with a qualified roofing contractor to perform selective intrusive (destructive) sampling at several areas of the roof throughout the investigation. Subsequently SRG was retained to provide a repair design package for the waterproofing rehabilitation work involving the roofing systems of the three buildings. The rehabilitation project included the removal of existing membranes and flashing which exhibited failed seams, termination deficiencies, and delaminations.
SRG also performed bidding, contract administration, project management, and construction observation services on the project.
