The Fillmore is a new 34,000 SF music, entertainment, and community use facility in downtown Silver Spring, MD. The music hall accommodates up to 2,000 standing and 750 seated patrons throughout the main floor and upper level balcony, while the lower level offers space for tenant offices, performer green rooms, a 40-seat lounge and restrooms. A unique feature of the project was the preservation of the existing limestone façade and retail sail, a nod to the JC Penny store that occupied the site for decades. The project represented a unique development partnership between Montgomery County and Lee Development Group, with Live Nation bringing the storied musical history of the Fillmore and its brand to the facility.
