Multi-Family Housing

Located in the historic Eckington neighborhood of NE Washington, D.C. - ONE501 Eckington - is anew seven-story, multi-family & mixed-use residential building designed by Torti Gallas and Partners and developed by Foulger-Pratt. Completed in 2021,the $66-million, 1.8-acre project involved the construction of 327 contemporary residential apartments with state-of-the-art amenities, including 7,500 square feet of street level retail space and 140 parking spaces. The building also includes 9 two-story artists’ lofts, in which five of these lofts are offered to artists earning less than 60% of the area median income.

A distinct aspect of this project is that the site is wrapped on two sides by the NoMa Parks Foundation’s Alethia Tanner Park, and a 22,000-sq-ft parcel of land was donated to the foundation by the developer to expand the NoMa Green to the east and connect the new apartment building with the expanded Alethia Tanner Park.

One501 Eckington hasbeen LEED Gold certified by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

This project has been awarded 2022 Best Residential/Hospitality and Award of Merit Excellence in Safety by ENR Midatlantic, as well as named one of the Q3 2021Top 5 LEED Gold Projects in Washington, DC by Multi-Housing News (MHN).
