Sculptures

Winner of the Best Small Project from ENR Mid-Atlantic, the Baltimore Visitors Center was renovated in 2016 to incorporate modern technology to serve its upwards of 400,000 visitors daily. Located on water’s edge in the inner harbor, the design included a flexible layout that allows the center to be used as an event space at night. Structura engineered installation of “Seagrass” by local artists McCormack and Figg whose shape echoes the aquatic grasses of the Chesapeake Bay. It can be lit in many different ways, from customized animation sequences to holiday colors to (of course) orange and purple for the Orioles and Ravens.
