hole Foods lovers can rejoice because the new Falls Church grocery store has officially opened. The location at 103 E. Broad St. opened its doors this morning.
The new 45,000-square-foot location replaces the Whole Foods store at 7511 Leesburg Pk., which closed earlier this week after being in operation for more than 25 years. The grand opening includes a food donation to Northern Virginia Food Rescue and donations to other local organizations, including Food for Others and Share of McLean.

“We’re proud to continue serving the Falls Church community as we have for more than 25 years, now from our new, expanded location,” said Sergio Pardo, store team leader at Whole Foods Market, in a statement. “This store showcases the best of local producers and brands from the DMV area, offering a curated selection of fresh and unique products. Our team is excited to welcome customers into a space designed to deliver both exceptional service and an elevated shopping experience.”

As you walk through the stores, you’ll find plenty of services that have become a staple at Whole Foods locations across the country. The new Falls Church store includes a full-service seafood counter, meat counter, and coffee bar. There’s also a variety of special departments like one showcasing local cheesemakers and artisan producers; a bakery with vegan and gluten-free options; and the prepared food section with a hot food bar, salad bar, and pizza.
Throughout the store, shoppers will find private label options along with 700 local products. Some brands and local businesses available at the Falls Church store include Firehook, Naked Goat Soap Company, and Myles Comfort Foods.
The grocery store will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. 103 E. Broad St., Falls Church
