Structura served as the Structural Engineer of Record (SEoR) for ONE501, a seven-story, mixed-use residential development in the historic Eckington neighborhood of Northeast DC. Designed by Torti Gallas + Partners and developed by Foulger-Pratt, this $66M project was completed in 2021 and spans 1.8 acres. Structura provided critical structural solutions for the development of 327 contemporary residential apartments, 7,500 SF of street-level retail space, and 140 parking spaces, along with 9 two-story artist lofts, five of which are designated for artists earning less than 60% of the area’s median income.

Structura’s work also supported the integration of the development with the NoMa Parks Foundation’s Alethia Tanner Park, including a 22K SF land donation to expand the park and create a seamless connection to the apartment building. The project achieved LEED Gold certification and garnered multiple industry accolades, including the 2022 Best Residential/Hospitality Award and an Excellence in Safety Award by ENR MidAtlantic. Structura’s engineering expertise was instrumental in delivering a safe, sustainable, and innovative structure that enhances the surrounding community while meeting the design vision of the project.
